Fans waiting for Becky Lynch to return to WWE may have to be a little more patient.
With SummerSlam just around the corner, WrestleVotes was asked during a July 20 Q&A session when “The Man” is expected to make her return. According to the update, Becky isn’t expected back in time for WWE’s biggest event of the summer.
“She’s coming back after SummerSlam.”
Lynch was last seen on the June 8 edition of Raw, where she unsuccessfully attempted to qualify for the Queen of the Ring tournament. Since then, WWE has kept her off television, leading to speculation about whether she would return before SummerSlam.
Her absence came shortly after dropping the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship to Sol Ruca at Clash in Italy. Following the loss, Becky refused to accept responsibility and instead blamed the officiating, insisting she had been robbed of the championship.
“Last night I was once again ROBBED of my title by CROOKED CARR!!! CLEARLY I had SO SAD SOL pinned for MORE than the count of three when Carr INEXPLICABLY DOVE out of the ring!!!! A TOTAL MESS!!! I soldiered on but suffered a severe hematoma (my lawyers are looking into ROTTEN RUCAs footwear. They suspect they’re not regulatory!) Doctors say they’re SHOCKED I was able to continue but I told them YOU CANT HOLD DOWN THE MAN!!!!”
Despite Becky’s entertaining post-match reaction, fans shouldn’t expect her back until after SummerSlam, meaning WWE’s biggest show of the summer is likely to move forward without one of its biggest stars.
Exactly when she returns—and what she’ll come back to—remains to be seen, but the expectation is that Becky Lynch’s next WWE appearance will come once SummerSlam is in the rearview mirror.
