The Bella Twins may have left Paige laid out at SummerSlam Saturday, but Paige wasted absolutely no time firing back.
Just hours after Nikki and Brie Bella shocked the WWE Universe by turning on their longtime ally following their loss to Fatal Influence, Paige took to Twitter with a message that made it clear she’s not letting the attack slide.
“Oh you f***** up.”
Four words. That’s all it took to make it obvious this rivalry is far from over. The shocking moment went down after the six-woman tag team match at SummerSlam. Fatal Influence picked up the victory, leaving Paige and The Bella Twins frustrated in the ring.
At first, it looked like the trio was simply regrouping after the loss. Then everything changed. Without warning, Nikki Bella blasted Paige with a forearm before she and Brie Bella swarmed her together. The crowd immediately turned on the Hall of Famers as the sisters stood tall over their fallen partner, completing a heel turn on one of WWE’s biggest stages.
The only question now is where WWE goes from here. Brie Bella suffered a shoulder injury during the match, creating uncertainty over how quickly WWE can move forward with the storyline. If the injury keeps Brie out of action, the company may have to adjust its plans despite the angle getting off to such a dramatic start.
Regardless of what happens next, Paige has already promised one thing. The Bella Twins haven’t heard the last of her.
