Tessitore then introduces Big E, Corey Graves and Peter Rosenberg and they run through the card for both SummerSlam Saturday and Sunday. The panel then talk about what match they are most excited for.
Cathy Kelley then talks about the Undisputed WWE Championship Match, while Byron Saxton talks about the WWE Women’s World Championship Match and Jackie Redmond talks about the Hell in a Cell Match. The panel then talks about the Hell in a Cell Match.
Jackie Redmond talks about Brock Lesnar and we get a video package on the origin story of Lesnar as narrated by Paul Heyman. The panel then talks about Brock Lesnar and they continue to talk about the Hell in a Cell Match.

Cathy Kelley then interviews Cody Rhodes. She brings up what happened after the match at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Cody says it was an accident and he feels misdiagnosed, not paranoid. Cody then says Punk mentioned what has happened to him in the past. Cody then says he does not sweat anyone on the roster, but CM Punk. Cathy then asks about Punk now. Cody says you would make a lot of acquaintances, but not friends. Cody then says this is not like Cena, Kevin, or Randy. Cody then says this is competition. Cody then says they are not going to do the thing that annoys everyone and they will find out who is the best at SummerSlam.
Cathy then asks if he thinks that Punk is jealous of him. Cody says he doesn’t want to use ‘jealous’ because how could the WWE Champion be jealous. Cody then says live rounds have been thrown, but we are trying to figure out who is best for WWE. Cathy then asks if this will affect their friendship. Cody says it will affect the dynamic because of what they have to do. Cody then says he hopes Punk knows nothing has changed other than knowing who the best is.
CM Punk is then interviewed by the panel. Joe talks to Punk and asks about his mindset. Punk says the day is here so what happened in the past does not matter. Punk then says he lives for the moment. Punk then says he is at his best. Peter then asks about the friendship and if it will affect the match. Punk says he doesn’t think it has affected either of them. Punk then says tonight is all business. Punk then says no matter who is against him, it is just another man. Corey then asks why is tonight different than Wrestlemania. Punk says today is the 20th anniversary of his WWE debut. Punk then says he didn’t expect to be champion 20 years later.
Punk then says he would do anything to win. Big E then asks about giving others an opportunity and if he is overlooking Cody. WWE SummerSlam Night One opens up with “The Ruler” Oba Femi warming up for his Hell in a Cell Match against Brock Lesnar. We then see Nick Aldis and GUNTHER arrive on split-screen. On another split-screen, The Bella Twins and Paige are shown arriving as are Fatal Influence. We then see “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes and Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk arriving on split-screen.
We then get a video package on WWE SummerSlam.
Michael Cole and Wade Barrett then welcomes us to the show as IYO SKY makes her way down to the ring for the first match of WWE SummerSlam Night One. Liv Morgan then makes her way down to the ring next.
WWE Women’s World Champion Match: The Judgment day’s Liv Morgan (c) vs. 2026 Queen of the Ring “The Genius of the Sky” IYO SKY
The match starts off with both women locking up and IYO backs Liv into the corner, but Liv hits a kick and she sends IYO to the mat. IYO then hits several kicks and forearms to the back. Liv then sends IYO into the turnbuckles and Liv slaps IYO. IYO then hits a knee to the midsection followed by kicks. IYO then chokes Liv in the corner and she hits a hesitation double knee strike. IYO then goes for a butterfly suplex, but Liv escapes. IYO then hits several back handsprings to avoid Liv followed by a leg sweep and a drop kick. Liv then goes to the floor. IYO then goes to the apron and she sets up for an Asai Moonsault, but Liv pulls IYO off the ropes. IYO then hits a forearm and she goes to the ringside barrier.
Liv then drops IYO on the ringside barrier and Liv sends her into the ringside barrier. They then return to the ring and Liv hits a drop kick that sends IYO into the corner. Liv then hits several kicks and she screams at the referee. Liv then hits more kicks to IYO in the corner. Liv then hits a kick to the ribs. Liv then hits a suplex and she holds on for a second one. Liv then holds on for the third Amiga and hits it. Liv then hits an enzuigiri and she gets a near fall. Liv then hits an Irish whip and a running hip into the corner. Liv then hits a knee into the corner and IYO gets a victory roll and she hits a double stomp to the midsection. IYO then hits a shotei and a kick to the head. Liv then hits an Irish whip and IYO gets to the apron and she hits a forearm.
IYO then goes up top for a missile drop kick. IYO then hits a running double knee strike in the corner. IYO then hits several kicks to Liv hanging over the middle rope. IYO then sets up for a suicide dive sunset flip power bomb and she hits it. IYO then sends Liv back into the ring and IYO goes to the turnbuckles for the moonsault, but Roxanne Perez distracts the referee and Raquel Rodriguez hits a choke slam to IYO off the turnbuckles. Liv then gets a near fall. IYO. then kicks Liv when she goes for an obLIVion. IYO then knocks Perez off the apron. IYO then sends Liv over the top rope and Raquel catches Liv. IYO then goes up top and she hits a moonsault on Perez and Raquel while Liv gets back into the ring. Liv then hits a rana driver in the ropes.
Liv then goes to the turnbuckles and IYO stops her with a shotei. IYO then hits an elbow to the back. IYO then sets up for a Spanish Fly and hits it. IYO then gets a near fall. IYO then hits a forearm and Liv fires back. They then continue the exchange. IYO then hits a butterfly gourd buster and follows it up with a butterfly back breaker, but Liv rolls into the corner. IYO then misses the running double knee strike and hits the turnbuckles. IYO then blocks an obLIVion and hits a reverse swinging DDT. IYO then hits her version of an obLIVion for a near fall. IYO then goes up top and she misses a moonsault, but under rotates and lands on her feet. Liv then goes to the turnbuckles for a Code Breaker for a near fall.

The referee then checks on Liv and IYO limps to the turnbuckles. IYO then misses a moonsault when Liv gets her knees up. Liv then goes for an obLIViion and hits it, but IYO is able to land on her feet. Liv then hits a Code Breaker and an obLIVion for the win.

The match starts off with all six men brawling. Knight then punches Jimmy and kicks him. Jey then chokes Solo. Knight then hits a drop kick through the ropes to Fatu. Jimmy then hits a plancha onto Keys, Knight and Fatu. Jey then hits several punches to Solo. Solo then blocks the final punch and Solo hits punches of his own to Jey. Solo then says to run it back and they play Jey’s music. Fatu then tags in. Solo then hits a Samoan drop and he gyrates. Fatu then pops up and he gyrates and hits a super kick and a pop up Samoan drop. Fatu then hits a back senton and he punches Solo. Fatu then chokes Solo in the ropes and Jey kicks Solo in the ropes.
Fatu then punches Solo and tags in Jimmy. Jimmy then kicks Solo and he tags in Jey. Jimmy then hits a shoulder in the corner and Jey hits a splash. Jey then chokes Solo in the ropes and Fatu hits a head butt. Fatu then tags in and he kicks Solo. Fatu then hits another kick. Fatu then hits a head butt to Solo. Fatu then hits a running hip attack into the corner. Fatu then gets a near fall. Fatu then knocks Knight off the apron. Solo then hits several punches to Fatu and he knocks Jey off the apron. Both men then hit clotheslines and they are both down. Jimmy and Keys then tag in and Keys hits clotheslines. Keys then hits another clothesline and he hits a splash into the corner. Jimmy then hits an Irish whip, but Keys hits a clothesline out of the corner.
Keys then gets Jimmy up and hits a World’s Strongest Slam and he hits a sit out spine buster on Jey. Keys then punches Jimmy and knocks Fatu off the apron. Jimmy then hits a series of super kicks, but it looks like Jimmy might have hurt his leg. Keys then punches Jimmy on the turnbuckles. Keys then goes for a super twisting power slam and hits it. Jey and Knight then tag in and Knight hits a clothesline and a back elbow. Knight then hits a power slam and he kicks Fatu off the apron. Knight then sets up for an elbow and hits it. He then kicks Fatu off the apron. Jey then escapes a BFT and hits a spear for a near fall. Knight then hits a superplex on Jey, but Jimmy with a frog splash on Knight.
Solo then hits a uranage on Jimmy. Fatu then hits an Impaler DDT and he gyrates. Keys then hits a spine buster to Fatu. Fatu then hits a super kick to Keys and he sets up for a spear through the ringside barrier and Keys counters with a power slam into the time keeper’s area. Knight then gets a near fall on Jey. Jey then hits a spear and Jimmy tags in and he hits a frog splash for a near fall. Jey then tags in and they set up for a 1D. Solo then hits a Samoan Spike to Jey and Knight hits a kick and a BFT to Jey for the win.

Singles Match: “The Ring General” GUNTHER vs. Nick Aldis
The match starts off with both men locking up and GUNTHER cinches in a wrist lock. Nick then cinches in a reversal. GUNTHER then backs Nick into the ropes and he cinches in a side head lock. Nick then hits several side head lock take downs. GUNTHER then goes to the floor and he assumes his pose on the announce desk. GUNTHER then returns to the ring and Nick cinches in a wrist lock, but GUNTHER backs him into the corner. GUNTHER then hits a chop on the break and Nick punches back. Nick then hits a clothesline. Nick then catches GUNTHER on a cross body and turns it into a suplex for a near fall. GUNTHER then kicks Nick away and GUNTHER chops Nick over the top rope and to the floor.
GUNTHER then sends Nick into the ring post and he has some comments for Mickie James and their son. Nick then goes for a cloverleaf, but GUNTHER blocks it and chops Nick. GUNTHER then hits two chops chops, but he misses a third one. Nick then hits several chops. GUNTHER then hits a hard Irish whip and follows it up with a second one. Nick then hits an Irish whip and a back breaker. Nick then goes for the cloverleaf again and GUNTHER kicks him away. GUNTHER then goes for a sleeper and locks it in. Nick then recovers and sends GUNTHER into the turnbuckles. GUNTHER is then staggered, but he is able to hit a clothesline. Nick then stops GUNTHER on the turnbuckles and Nick sets up for a superplex and hits it.
Nick then hits punches to GUNTHER and GUNTHER hits some chops. Nick then hits a clothesline, but GUNTHER hits a clothesline of his own. GUNTHER then goes for another clothesline, but Nick hits one. Nick then goes for an Bulldog Power Slam and hits it for a near fall. Nick then goes up top and misses a move, but lands on his feet when GUNTHER moves. GUNTHER then misses a Yakuza kick and Nick hits a Smiley Slam and an elbow drop off the turnbuckles. Nick then hits an elbow drop to the back and he applies a Cloverleaf. GUNTHER is able to fight to the ropes to force a break. GUNTHER then sends Nick into the turnbuckles and GUNTHER cinches in a sleeper. Nick then reverses, but GUNTHER escapes with a suplex.
GUNTHER then hits a power bomb for a near fall. GUNTHER then hits several elbows to the clavicle and he applies a sleeper with a body scissors. Nick then gets to his feet, but GUNTHER takes him back to the mat and Nick taps out.

After the match, Nick gets a standing ovation and he is joined in the ring by Mickie James and their son. Nick then hugs Donovan and kisses Mickie.

The match starts off with Fallon hitting a punch to Brie and she blocks a hip toss. Brie then lands on her feet on a hip toss and she hits a side Russian leg sweep followed by several kicks to the chest and a round kick. Jacy and Reid then go after Paige and Nikki, but they get pulled to the floor. Paige then hits a cross body. Brie then goes up top and punches Fallon. Jacy then pulls Brie off the turnbuckles when the referee was not looking. Reid then sends Brie into the ring steps and she stomps on the back of her head. Jacy then hits a cannonball against the ring steps. Jacy then hits a back senton for a near fall. Jacy then hits an Irish whip and a hip into the corner. Reid then tags in and she hits an elbow into the corner and gets a near fall. Reid then sends Brie into the turnbuckles, but she runs into an elbow. Brie then punches Fallon and Jacy. Brie then sends Reid to the floor.
Reid then sneaks around Nikki to punch her and stop Brie from making the tag. Nikki then gets a tag and she hits a few clotheslines followed by a face buster. Nikki then hits a kick and she sends Jacy into Fallon and Nikki hits a clothesline to Fallon and it leads to a DDT on Jacy. Nikki then gets a near fall on Reid. Nikki then gets Reid up, but Jacy distracts Nikki. Reid then gets an inside cradle for a near fall. Nikki then hits a forearm. Nikki then tries to get Reid up and Fallon stops her, but Paige hits a thrust kick and a cannonball. Nikki then hits a Rack Attack for a near fall when Jacy breaks up the cover. Undisputed WWE Championship Match: “The Best In The World” CM Punk (c) vs. “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes
The match starts off with both men going face to face before locking up and they circle each other. They then lock up and Punk backs Cody into the corner. Punk then chops Cody on the break. They then lock up again and go around the ring so Cody can return the favor. Punk then hits a chop and they go back and forth with chops. Cody then. hits an Irish whip and Punk leaps over Cody. Punk then hits a head scissors take down and he kicks the shoulder. Punk then cinches in an arm wringer and a hammer lock. Cody then applies a side head lock. Cody then hits a shoulder tackle and he gets a near fall. Cody then hits another shoulder tackle and a near fall. Punk then goes for a GTS, but Cody escapes and he hits a side head lock take down. Cody then hits a shoulder tackle and a side head lock take down for a few near falls.
Punk then backs Cody into the ropes and Punk hits several chops. Cody then sends Punk into the turnbuckles and chops him. Punk then works on the injured arm and applies an arm wringer. Cody then stops Punk with a forearm. Cody then sets up for a superplex, but Punk stops him with a forearm. Punk then goes for an elbow drop and hits it for a near fall. Punk then signals that it is over and Punk gets Cody up, but Cody hits several elbows. Cody then hits a Cody Cutter for a near fall. Cody then hits a disaster kick for a near fall. Cody then punches the knee. Cody then hits a double jump Cody Cutter for a near fall. Cody then signals for a Cross Rhodes and Punk kicks Cody. Cody then hits a double leg take down and Cody goes for a figure four. Punk then kicks Cody into the turnbuckles and Punk gets a rollup. Cody then blocks a GTS and applies a figure four leg lock.
Cody then adds more pressure to the hold, but Punk rolls over and Cody gets to the ropes to force a break. Punk then applies an Anaconda Vice to counter a Figure Four Leg Lock. Cody then gets to the ropes to force the break. Punk then kicks Cody and he does it with the injured leg and he regrets it. Punk then several chops and knees in the corner. Punk then gets Cody up and Cody grabs the ropes. Cody then gets Punk up for a Bang-O-Rang, but Punk counters with an Anaconda Vice. Punk then gets a jackknife cover for a near fall and Cody hits a Cross Rhodes for a near fall. Cody then puts Punk on the turnbuckles and Cody hits several forearms and Punk stops Cody. Cody is then knocked to the mat. Punk then misses a moonsault, but he gets a near fall.
Punk then hits a clothesline for a near fall. Punk then slaps Cody and he gets Cody up, but Cody rakes the eyes. Punk then hits a forearm and he hits a GTS and Punk takes too long to make the cover and gets a near fall. Cody then goes to the floor and Punk follows. Punk then sends Cody into the announce desk. Punk then gets on the announce desk and Cody hits a leg sweep. Punk then counters a Cross Rhodes and Cody counters a GTS. Cody then breaks the count and the other announce desk is rearranged. Punk then hits a GTS, but Cody grabs the rope to break the count. They then return to the floor and Punk puts Cody on the announce desk.
Punk then looks at the ring post and he goes up top. Cody then moves and Punk goes through the table. The referee then starts his count. Cody then picks up Punk and drags him into the ring. The referee then checks on Punk and Cody goes for the double jump Cody Cutter and hits it on the referee. Punk then hits a GTS and Cody falls onto Punk for a second one. Cody then escapes and hits a Cross Rhodes, but Punk falls to the floor. Randy Orton then appears and he hits an RKO to Cody and leaves the ring. Punk and the referee then recover and get back into the ring. Punk then hits a GTS for the win.

Oba Femi then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of WWE SummerSlam Night One and Brock Lesnar follows with Paul Heyman.
Alicia Taylor then does the introductions, but Heyman takes the microphone away from her when it comes to Lesnar. Heyman then puts over Lesnar’s University of Minnesota connection to a huge ovation and introduces him to the crowd.
Hell in a Cell Match: 2026 King of the Ring “The Ruler” Oba Femi vs. “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar
The match starts off with Oba hitting a kick and several punches followed by shoulders in the corner. Oba then hits an Irish whip and an uppercut into the corner. Oba then misses an uppercut and Brock hits two German suplexes. Brock then hits another German suplex and Oba pops up. Oba then sends Brock over the top rope and to the floor. Oba then sends Brock into the apron and into the cell. Brock then Irish whips Oba into the ring steps. Oba then blocks a suplex and Oba hits a suplex of his own on the floor. Oba then sends Brock into the ring steps. Oba then goes under the ring for a table and he puts it against the cell. Oba then Irish whips Brock through the table. Oba then gets some chairs and sends Brock back into the ring.
Brock then hits Oba with the ring steps two times. Brock then hits Oba a third time with the steps. Brock then hits a German suplex. Brock then hits one more German suplex. Brock then hits Oba with a chair in the back. Brock then hits Oba one more time with the chair. Brock then hits a suplex. Brock then suplexes Oba onto a few chairs. Oba then blocks an F5 and he hits a choke slam and both men are down. Oba then hits several punches to the midsection and he hits an uppercut in the corner. Brock then hits Oba with a chair several times in the back. Brock then rips up the canvas to expose the protective mat. Brock then exposes the boards inside the ring. Brock then gets Oba up and he hits a tombstone pile driver on the boards. Brock then gets a near fall. Oba then punches the chair from Brock’s hand and Oba hits a Fall From Grace for the win.

Brock then congratulates Oba and says he is the future. Brock then says he is the past and Oba is the future. Femi then stands tall as WWE SummerSlam Night One comes to a close.
