Paige didn’t need long to address one of the toughest losses of her WWE comeback.
Just hours after Fatal Influence ended her WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship reign at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the former champion broke her silence on social media with a message to fans.
“Well s***… sorry you guys ❤️”
It sounded like that was all she wanted to say. Then she came back with another post. And that’s the one that’s really getting people talking: “Also.. Becky was right about that ref.” With one sentence, Paige reignited a rivalry that has been simmering for a year.
Becky Lynch has repeatedly questioned WWE referee Jessika Carr’s performances over the past year, arguing that Carr shouldn’t be officiating her biggest matches. Despite those complaints, Carr has continued to referee several of WWE’s highest-profile bouts, often finding herself at the center of controversial finishes.
Now, after losing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships alongside Brie Bella, Paige appears to have joined Team Becky. Whether she was joking or genuinely frustrated, the timing of the comment immediately caught fans’ attention, especially after a championship match that already had emotions running high.
Fatal Influence walked out of Madison Square Garden with the gold, while Paige and Brie Bella were left empty-handed. But judging by Paige’s posts after the show, she isn’t putting all of the blame on herself. She also thinks the official deserves part of it.
