Nashville is officially making a serious push to land WrestleMania in 2028, and the financial offer behind the bid is already turning heads.

In an update to earlier comments from WWE President Nick Khan about future WrestleMania plans, Bryan Alvarez revealed that Nashville, Tennessee has stepped forward with a major proposal aimed at bringing WWE’s biggest annual event to the city.

According to Alvarez, Nashville’s bid includes a significant financial commitment along with additional incentives designed to make the city an attractive destination for WWE leadership.

“Nashville has put in a bid for WrestleMania 2028, .5 million dollars plus tax breaks.”

The bid adds to Khan’s earlier tease during a company town hall, when he hinted that WWE already has long-term plans locked in and suggested a major announcement about the 2028 WrestleMania location is on the horizon. While speaking to staff, Khan teased that the eventual reveal is expected to draw major attention once it becomes official.

“Wait until you hear the announcement on where we’re going to be for WrestleMania in 2028.”

Nashville has hosted several major WWE events in recent years and has continued positioning itself as a destination city for large-scale entertainment. A bid worth $3.5 million plus tax incentives shows just how competitive cities have become when trying to secure WrestleMania, which is widely known to generate massive tourism revenue and national exposure.

WWE has increasingly looked at major stadium markets and cities willing to provide strong financial backing, making bids like Nashville’s a key factor in determining where WrestleMania ultimately lands. With several years still before 2028 arrives, more cities could emerge with competing offers, but Nashville’s proposal now stands as one of the first concrete moves tied to the event.

If Nashville does secure WrestleMania 2028, it would mark another milestone for the city’s growing role in hosting large-scale sporting and entertainment events — and could bring tens of thousands of fans into the area for WWE’s biggest weekend of the year.
