Nashville officials have now confirmed they are actively working with WWE on bringing WrestleMania to the city, adding fresh momentum to talks about a future event.
After growing speculation about Nashville landing WWE’s biggest show, Brandon Thurston of POST Wrestling reached out directly to the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp to ask about their interest. The response made it clear discussions are not just speculation — they are still underway. According to the organization, negotiations with WWE are continuing behind the scenes.
“We are working on a future date with them.”
That response lines up with earlier expectations that Nashville could eventually host WrestleMania at the city’s new Nissan Stadium, which is scheduled to open in 2027.
This isn’t the first time Nashville officials have indicated strong interest in landing WWE’s biggest event. Back in November 2021, The Tennessean published comments from Butch Spyridon, CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp, who said there was already a verbal commitment from WWE for the city to host WrestleMania at the new stadium once construction is completed.
With Nissan Stadium expected to open in 2027, the timeline naturally puts Nashville in position for WrestleMania shortly after the venue becomes operational.
The latest confirmation also strengthens earlier reports suggesting negotiations have moved deep into the process. During WrestleVotes Radio, it was noted that sources within the city believe discussions have reached a late stage — but there is still some caution due to past situations where deals appeared close but never became official.
“So, TC they are at the finish line according to the sources within the city. So look for an official announcement. We do want to hesitate, I guess, a little bit here. We've seen this happen to Minnesota, how they were at the finish line for WrestleMania. That never happened.”
Even with growing confidence, WWE still has existing commitments to other cities, including New Orleans and Indianapolis, meaning the full WrestleMania calendar still has several moving pieces.
Still, the direct confirmation from Nashville officials that they are working toward a future date adds another strong sign that the city’s long push to land WrestleMania may finally be coming together.
