WrestleMania 44 talks with Nashville just took another step forward, and the latest update suggests the deal may be closer than ever to becoming official.
After chatter about Nashville making a strong push to land WWE’s biggest show of 2028, a new report says city officials believe negotiations are nearly complete. The latest comments point to growing confidence behind the scenes that an announcement could be coming soon.
During WrestleVotes Radio, it was revealed that sources inside the city believe talks with WWE have reached a critical stage. Officials reportedly feel the process has moved far enough along that fans should start preparing for an official reveal — but there is still some caution based on past situations.
“So, TC they are at the finish line according to the sources within the city. So look for an official announcement. We do want to hesitate, I guess, a little bit here. We've seen this happen to Minnesota, how they were at the finish line for WrestleMania. That never happened.”
The update adds to earlier reports that WWE is in active negotiations with Nashville to bring WrestleMania to the city’s new Nissan Stadium, which is set to open in 2027. That timing would make the venue a natural fit to host WrestleMania the following year.
Even with Nashville gaining momentum, nothing is locked in just yet. WWE still has obligations to other cities like New Orleans and Indianapolis for future WrestleMania events, meaning the full schedule still has pieces that need to fall into place.
Still, the latest comments about being at the “finish line” show just how serious Nashville’s push has become. If negotiations stay on track, the city could soon secure one of the biggest events in sports entertainment.
