The Bella Twins may have been the ones who dropped Paige at SummerSlam. Jacy Jayne says she deserves some of the credit.
After Nikki and Brie Bella shocked the WWE Universe by turning on their longtime ally following their loss to Fatal Influence, the NXT Women’s Champion couldn’t resist twisting the knife even further. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Jayne gleefully claimed she helped make the entire thing happen, saying she’s always had a knack for blowing up friendships.
“I love being a hell-raiser. I love breaking relationships. It warms my heart.”
Then she turned her attention to Paige. Instead of feeling sorry for her, Jayne argued the warning signs had been there all along.
“I mean, are we really surprised? Can you really trust the Bella Twins? Paige should have seen it coming. I saw it coming. She should have seen it coming.”
Considering what happened at SummerSlam, it’s hard to argue Paige didn’t get blindsided. After teaming with Nikki and Brie Bella against Fatal Influence, it looked like the trio was simply regrouping following the loss. Seconds later, Nikki leveled Paige with a forearm before she and Brie stomped their former ally together, completing one of the biggest heel turns of the weekend.
Nikki has already made it clear she doesn’t regret the attack. In fact, the WWE Hall of Famer admitted she felt Paige had become an obstacle standing between her and another championship run alongside Brie, insisting she did what she had to do and has no plans to apologize for it.
Now Jayne is enjoying the fallout from the sidelines. Whether she’s simply stirring the pot or genuinely believes Fatal Influence helped drive a wedge between Paige and The Bella Twins, one thing is obvious. She’s more than happy watching the chaos she claims to have helped create.
