“Hangman” Adam Page is back in AEW, but he is done chasing the championship that defined his career for seven years.
Page opened the July 11, 2026 edition of AEW Collision by addressing the promise he made after losing to MJF at Revolution. Under the stipulation tied to that match, Page can never challenge for the AEW Men’s World Championship again—and he has no intention of trying to escape it.
Tony Schiavone introduced Page to the crowd before the former champion entered the ring and talked about spending his time away gardening. Page said he returned to plant one more seed, even though he had no idea whether it would grow.
The conversation quickly shifted to his failed title challenge against MJF in March. Page made it clear that he is a man of his word and will not attempt to challenge for AEW’s top championship again.
That leaves Page facing a question he has never had to answer before. His entire AEW career was built around chasing, winning and holding the World Championship. Now that door is permanently closed.
“For seven years, for seven years, I have defined myself with the one goal that I held above all others—the one goal that I held above all others: to chase, to win and to hold the World Championship. But now I am faced with the question, ‘Who is Hangman without the World Championship?’ And the honest truth is that I don’t know, but we are damn sure going to find out, aren’t we?”
Page also praised Kenny Omega for winning the AEW World Championship and spoke about his longtime friend wanting to finish the race. Instead of challenging Omega, Page turned his attention toward the rest of AEW’s championship lineup.
He mentioned the TNT Championship, currently held by his former partner Kevin Knight, along with the National, International and Continental Championships. Page also took a shot at Knight by calling him a “current dipshit,” making it clear that friendship will not stop him from coming after another belt.
Page’s return gives AEW a different version of Hangman. He is no longer the anxious cowboy trying to prove he belongs at the top. Now he has to rebuild his identity without the one prize that controlled nearly every major chapter of his career.
The AEW World Championship may be off limits, but Page still has plenty of gold to chase—and several champions now have a major problem standing in their way.
Which championship should Hangman Adam Page pursue now that he can never challenge for the AEW World Title again? Leave your thoughts in the comments and let us know.
