AJ Styles came across a pretty wild rumor about his marriage, and he didn’t waste much time killing it. After a Twitter account claimed Styles and his wife Wendy were heading toward divorce, AJ says the two actually saw the post together—and laughed about it.

The post claimed Styles and Wendy were ending their marriage after 28 years and even included supposed details about custody and a $300,000-per-month child support request. None of that came with any confirmed court documentation, and Styles quickly made it clear people shouldn’t believe it.

AJ took to Twitter after seeing the claim and revealed that Wendy was right there with him when they found it. Styles even corrected one of the basic details in the rumor. He and Wendy haven’t been married for 28 years as the post claimed—they’ve been married for 26 and have been together for more than three decades.

“My wife and I saw this today. We had a good laugh. For the record, we have been married for 26 years. Together for over 3 decades. I’m a blessed man.”

The rumor also comes only months after fans got a very personal look into their marriage following Styles’ match against Gunther at the 2026 Royal Rumble. During Styles’ appearance on Stephanie McMahon’s podcast, Stephanie read a letter Wendy had written about her husband and everything they had built together.

Wendy reflected on AJ putting his family first throughout his wrestling career, including turning down an early WWE opportunity while she was still in college because he didn’t want them to be apart.

“Even when I was pushing you to go, you politely declined the offer. You always said we would do this together and not apart. Together we have. You wanted to beat the house. Well, you did. A phenomenal career. Four amazing and individually gifted kids. And a loving, always supportive wife who has stood beside you the entire time. You won, come home.”

Bottom line: the whole thing just shows that throwing a few specific numbers and supposed legal details into a social media post doesn’t suddenly make it true. Styles caught this one quickly, and his response left very little room for the rumor to keep running.
