Matt Lyda is shutting down the idea that he has bad blood with The Undertaker or Michelle McCool after being replaced on Six Feet Under.

Lyda, who originally co-hosted The Undertaker’s podcast before WWE became more involved with the show, addressed the situation during an appearance on the Maven Huffman podcast. According to Lyda, he still talks to Mark Callaway and holds no bitterness over how things played out.

“I am not bitter. I am not upset with them at all.”

Lyda even revealed that he recently reached out to Undertaker for his birthday and the two exchanged messages about missing each other.

“I said, ‘Hey, miss hanging out, miss seeing you.’ He goes, ‘Me too, man.’”

While Lyda made it clear he misses doing the show, he admitted the biggest thing he envies is the level of guests the podcast now gets through its WWE connection.

“I’m jealous of the guests that they have on the show right now.”

He specifically mentioned wishing he could have interviewed Shawn Michaels during his time on the podcast.

Lyda also strongly defended Michelle McCool, who has faced criticism online from fans unhappy about the change in co-hosts.

“She has been nothing but a phenomenal person to me and to my wife. I will never sit here and say anything negative about Michelle McCool.”

According to Lyda, McCool welcomed him into their home, cooked meals for him and treated him like family. Because of that, he said he does not want fans using his exit as a reason to attack her online.

“I don’t want people making negative comments to her and going, ‘I wish I had Matt.’ I don’t want that.”

Lyda also pushed back on the idea that being removed from the show somehow damaged his relationship with Undertaker.

“53, 54 episodes with The Undertaker. Pretty cool, right?”

During Lyda’s run as co-host, Six Feet Under reportedly gained around 700,000 subscribers between February 2024 and March 2025 before the show eventually shifted direction with WWE involvement.

Even though fans continue debating the podcast changes online, Lyda sounds completely at peace with how things ended and clearly does not want negativity aimed at either Undertaker or Michelle McCool because of it.
