Rusev wasn’t interested in selling his loss after the July 27 edition of RAW. He wasn’t interested in hanging around. The second the referee slapped the mat for three, he was already on his way out.
Ringside footage from the show is making the rounds online after catching something WWE’s broadcast barely focused on—Rusev looking absolutely disgusted after taking the pin from Je’Von Evans.
The finish saw Evans catch the Bulgarian Brute with a Stunner before planting him with the OG Cutter for the victory. But instead of lying in the ring, arguing with the referee or even glaring at Evans, Rusev did something else entirely.
He popped right back up. Rusev immediately rolled out of the ring, completely brushed off Evans’ offense, and marched straight toward the backstage area without wasting a single second. No lingering. No selling. No looking back. Just a frustrated-looking Rusev power-walking to the curtain like he wanted nothing to do with what had just happened.
It didn’t take long for the clip to start spreading across social media, with fans immediately pointing out how fast Rusev disappeared after the loss. Some saw it as a veteran throwing a fit in character after getting caught, while others wondered if the reaction looked a little too real.
Ironically, the match itself isn’t what’s getting people talking nearly as much as what happened after it. One pinfall later, and Rusev looked like he wanted to be anywhere except inside a WWE ring.
