Jake “The Snake” Roberts is back with WWE — and he dropped the news about as casually as humanly possible. Just a few months after his six-year run with AEW officially came to an end, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed that he has re-signed with WWE and is already “doing some stuff” for the company. What that stuff actually is? Jake isn’t saying just yet.

While speaking with Nick Teodoro, Roberts was simply asked what he’s been up to lately. Instead of making some huge announcement out of it, Jake casually slipped his WWE return into the conversation like it was no big deal.

“Staying busy. Not in AEW anymore. Re-signed with WWE, doing some stuff for them and just enjoying life, man.”

Jake didn’t explain what kind of deal he signed, whether he’ll be working behind the scenes or if WWE has something else planned for him. He just confirmed he’s back with the company and immediately started talking about his other big obsession these days — his car. Apparently, Roberts has dumped around $90,000 into completely rebuilding a 1965 Cadillac convertible and turning it into a hot rod.

“I’ve got a ’65 Cadillac convertible. Completely redid it, turned it into a hot rod, and it’s my toy. A very expensive toy. I spent about 90 grand on that damn car. And it’s a hot rod now. We went to our first car show the other day. Had a great time, great time seeing the folks and looking at their toys.”

This comes after Roberts confirmed back in July that his time with AEW was finished. He had been with Tony Khan’s company since 2020, most notably managing Lance Archer, before eventually disappearing from television. His departure ended a six-year relationship with the promotion. There wasn’t any messy breakup either. When Roberts confirmed he was finished with AEW, he actually had nothing but good things to say about Khan.

“Loved it. Loved it. I just finished up working for him. I’m no longer employed by AEW. He is awesome. He really is. A breath of fresh air.”

So Jake apparently didn’t waste too much time figuring out his next move. One minute he’s officially done with AEW, and a few months later he’s casually revealing that he’s signed with WWE again while talking about his $90,000 hot rod. Now somebody just needs to get Jake to explain what “doing some stuff” actually means.

What role would you like to see Jake Roberts take on now that he’s officially back with WWE? Let us know what you think in the comments.
