WWE and AAA finally have their first fight locked in for Worlds Collide — and Roxanne Perez is walking straight into a championship match. Perez will challenge La Catalina for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship on September 26, officially putting the first match on the board for the Chicago event.
Perez earned her way into this thing before she even knew who would be holding the belt. During TripleManía 34 Night One, she stepped into a Fatal Four-Way against Nattie, Faby Apache and La Hiedra with one hell of a prize waiting at the finish line — the winner would become #1 contender for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at Worlds Collide.
Perez survived the chaos and got the win, meaning her September 26 title shot was already sitting there waiting for her. She just needed a champion. That part got handled on TripleManía 34 Night Two.
La Catalina stepped up to Flammer and walked away with the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship, giving Perez her target and immediately turning the Worlds Collide title shot into an actual match. There’s no mystery left here. Perez won the match that guaranteed her the shot, Catalina won the championship two nights later, and now they’re headed straight toward each other on September 26.
WWE and AAA still have plenty of room to pile more insanity onto Worlds Collide, but Perez vs. Catalina is officially first through the door. The card has started taking shape, and they kicked things off with gold on the line.
Worlds Collide goes down Saturday, September 26 at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, with WWE, NXT and AAA once again smashing their rosters together for another crossover show.
