AAA is finally filling out the first night of TripleMania 34, and the company just added a major women’s match with championship implications.
Following Sunday’s Ola de Calor show, AAA announced a new four-way match for the September 11 event in Las Vegas. Roxanne Perez, Natalya, Faby Apache and La Hiedra will all collide, with the winner earning a future shot at the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at Worlds Collide. That gives Night One its first major confirmed match after the Las Vegas portion of TripleMania 34 previously had nothing announced.
The match also brings two WWE names into the mix, with Perez and Natalya stepping into AAA competition against Faby Apache and La Hiedra. There’s more than bragging rights involved, because whoever walks out with the victory immediately moves into the Reina de Reinas title picture.
AAA already established the other side of that championship situation at Ola de Calor. La Catalina won a shot at Flammer’s Reina de Reinas Championship and will challenge for the title during the September 13 night of TripleMania 34 in Mexico City. That means the winner of the new Las Vegas four-way will be waiting for either Flammer or La Catalina when AAA gets to Worlds Collide.
AAA also added another major title match to the September 13 card after Rey Fenix announced he will defend the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship against Mini Vikingo, Jack Cartwheel and Nathan Frazer. That came after Vikingo, Cartwheel and Frazer fought to a time-limit draw in a #1 contender’s match at Ola de Calor.
TripleMania 34 is now starting to take shape across both nights, and the addition of Perez, Natalya, Apache and La Hiedra gives the Las Vegas show a much bigger match with something meaningful waiting for the winner.
The confirmed TripleMania 34 lineup currently includes:
- September 11, Las Vegas: Roxanne Perez vs. Natalya vs. Faby Apache vs. La Hiedra — winner earns a Reina de Reinas Championship match at Worlds Collide.
- September 13, Mexico City: Dominik Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano for the AAA Mega Championship.
- September 13, Mexico City: Flammer vs. La Catalina for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship.
- September 13, Mexico City: Rey Fenix vs. Mini Vikingo vs. Jack Cartwheel vs. Nathan Frazer for the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship.
- Night TBA: Copa Bardahl Match with participants still to be announced.
- Night TBA: El Carnicero vs. Psycho Clown in a Street Fight.
