ormer WWE EVOLVE star Veronica West just grabbed an axe and went full Patrick Bateman — and she even found herself a Paul Allen to terrorize.
West took to Instagram to recreate a moment from American Psycho, dressing up as Christian Bale’s psychotic character from the 2000 film. She rocked Bateman’s signature clear raincoat while holding an axe before taking a swing, giving fans a quick throwback to one of the movie’s most infamous scenes.
Anyone familiar with American Psycho knows the reference. Bateman wears the same raincoat before attacking Paul Allen, played by Jared Leto, with an axe. West kept things simple, letting the costume and weapon do most of the talking. She even referenced Bateman’s famous Huey Lewis and the News speech in her caption.
“One of their undisputed masterpieces☝️”
The attention to detail was pretty hard to miss. West didn’t just throw on a raincoat and call it a day. She went straight for one of the most disturbing scenes in the entire movie. Of course, this isn’t the only thing West has been doing since leaving WWE. The former EVOLVE talent recently explained why she’s keeping the Veronica West name instead of going back to Fallyn Grey as she moves forward with her wrestling career.
But judging by this latest video, West might have a future playing movie villains if the whole wrestling thing doesn’t work out. She certainly picked one of cinema’s biggest psychopaths to impersonate, and she wasn’t about to let Paul Allen walk away from this one either.
Did Veronica West nail the iconic American Psycho scene, or should Patrick Bateman’s axe stay in Christian Bale’s hands? Drop your thoughts in the comments below.
