Grayson Waller tried to bring Stephanie Vaquer’s nearly naked championship photo to WWE television, but somebody backstage clearly wasn’t having it.

The WWE Superstar revealed that he had a T-shirt made featuring Vaquer’s viral Instagram photo, where she posed wearing nothing but the Women’s World Championship. His plan was to wear the shirt on NXT, but WWE put the brakes on that idea before it ever made it in front of the cameras.

During an appearance on NotSam Wrestling, Waller was talking about his habit of wearing shirts designed to get under other wrestlers’ skin. He’s gotten away with plenty over the years, but apparently putting Vaquer’s barely covered body across his chest was a little too much for WWE.

Waller explained that he had the shirt made after seeing the photo Vaquer posted to Instagram, which paid tribute to Shawn Michaels’ famous championship pose. The shirt was ready to go, but WWE never allowed him to wear it on NXT.

“There’s some that haven’t ended up on TV. I don’t know if you remember that Stephanie Vaquer broke the internet recently. She did an Instagram story like Shawn Michaels — there was a T-shirt with that on it. That didn’t end up on TV.”

And if you thought Waller tossed the shirt in the trash after WWE rejected it, think again. He still has it and figures somebody out there would be crazy enough to spend big money just to own it.

“If anyone wants it, you can buy it. There’s some fan who will pay some crazy money for it.”

Waller also admitted that even he has some boundaries when it comes to trolling other WWE stars. He loves stirring the pot, but he’d prefer to pick on somebody who can actually step into the ring with him afterward. That’s where the Vaquer shirt became a bit of a problem, since the two aren’t exactly going to settle their differences in a singles match.

“I love to cause chaos, but I think if I can’t fight you, if we can’t fight after this, then that’s the line. Stephanie Vaquer doesn’t feel like we won’t have a match — that’s where my line is.”

Vaquer originally shared the revealing photo after the October 5 episode of RAW, using the Women’s World Championship to cover herself in a pose that immediately drew comparisons to Shawn Michaels. The image took off online, and apparently Waller figured it would look even better on a shirt during NXT.

Vaquer has since lost the Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan at Money in the Bank, but her viral photo nearly got another moment on WWE television thanks to Waller’s latest attempt at stirring up trouble.

Instead, WWE shut it down, and Waller is now sitting on a shirt he thinks some fan will pay ridiculous money to own. Considering his track record of trolling just about everybody, it’s probably only a matter of time before he finds another way to get himself in trouble.
