Enzo Amore’s WWE firing in 2018 wasn’t just sudden—it was life‑changing. The former Cruiserweight Champion says after a viral tweet accused him of sexual assault, it wasn’t the police or WWE who helped him prove his innocence. Instead, it was his fans.
During his appearance on The John Rondi Show, Enzo (now known as Real1) revealed that following the explosive accusation from a woman using the handle MissGucciWitch, he was blindsided both professionally and legally. In fact, he said law enforcement never even contacted him first—he had to take the initiative himself.
“It wasn’t a phone call from the cops that I got. It was me calling my lawyer, having him call the cops and finding out what the f* is going on in Phoenix and making sure that… we’re getting clear answers.”*
As the situation spiraled online, Enzo said something unexpected happened—his supporters mobilized. He claims that fans sent law enforcement direct evidence disproving the allegations and ultimately helped clear his name.
“Much to their credit, it was the fans, man. My fans flooded the f**ing police with emails and evidence and all this sht. Screenshots. Screenshots of this girl, videos of her being a liar and talking about all this crazy sht.”
He added that a key piece of information came from someone close to the accuser—a person Enzo still calls his “angel.”
“Then an angel was sent to me. I still haven’t met this man. I hope to meet him one day. Her best friend. A guy.”
The case was eventually closed with no charges filed, effectively clearing Enzo of the allegations. Looking back, he said the experience was emotionally brutal but ultimately transformative, giving him what he describes as a “second chance at life.”
Enzo Amore’s story serves as one of the most biggest examples of how fast a career can collapse—and how fan‑driven truth can sometimes turn it around.
