Elayna Black didn’t leave TNA Lockdown 2026 with the Knockouts World Championship, but she definitely left looking like she had been through hell after her brutal steel cage fight with Xia Brookside.
Black took to Twitter after the August 23 event in Chicago and shared a mirror selfie showing the bloody aftermath of the match. Her face and gear were covered in blood following the punishment she absorbed inside the cage.
The hometown favorite came close to taking the title from Brookside, even becoming the first wrestler to kick out of Dark Side. Black later connected with Blackout for another close call, but Brookside ultimately escaped with the championship after using powder and catching Black with a roll-up.
Brookside’s victory did not go over well with the Chicago crowd, which loudly booed the champion following the finish. Black, meanwhile, had plenty of family and friends in attendance for the match, including her parents and grandmother.
The photo Black shared afterward showed exactly what the match took out of her. She may not have gotten the championship win in her hometown, but there was no hiding the damage after the cage door finally opened.
