Daniel Garcia’s exit from AEW Redemption just got even uglier. Ringside News has learned that Garcia appeared to knock a third fan’s phone out of his hand moments before the two incidents already seen in footage from the Bell Centre.
The newly surfaced video was posted by the fan involved and shows Garcia climbing over the barricade while the man filmed him. As Garcia passed, he appeared to smack the camera directly out of the fan’s hand, sending the phone flying to the floor. The fan immediately lost it and repeatedly yelled at Garcia while security stepped in to recover the device and hold him back.
“Don’t touch my phone! Don’t touch my phone!”
Garcia kept moving, but the situation was far from over. Moments later, he came around the corner and approached the fan wearing a blue shirt who was seen in the original footage obtained by Ringside News.
Garcia appeared to knock that fan’s phone away before stopping for a heated exchange that lasted several seconds. There is no clear audio revealing what was said, but Garcia looked furious when he finally turned and continued toward the exit.
That is when the third incident happened. A fan wearing a red jersey was leaning over a nearby balcony and recording when Garcia reached up and appeared to slap the phone from his hand, sending it crashing into the area below. Jon Moxley came through moments later, spotted the phone on the ground and handed it back to the fan before leaving with the rest of the Death Riders.
The first fan later posted his footage on Twitter and called on Tony Khan to address what happened during his first AEW event.
“Wasn’t expecting my first @AEW experience to end this way. Daniel Garcia smacks my phone on the floor unnecessarily. “@TonyKhan, this is unacceptable. Sincerely, a big fan.”
The additional footage completely changes the timeline. Garcia did not appear to lash out once and then calm down—he appeared to knock away three separate phones during the same walk through the crowd, with security scrambling to keep the situation from getting worse.
Whatever had Garcia heated, three fans ended up caught in the middle of it. AEW now has a much bigger problem on its hands than one bad interaction, because the footage shows a pattern playing out across the entire exit.
