Cody Rhodes stepped into a different role this week, showing off his Guile look during a special event for the upcoming Street Fighter movie.

Paramount Pictures hosted a promotional event on Wednesday, April 15, to unveil the new Street Fighter trailer. Several members of the film’s cast were in attendance, including Noah Centineo, 50 Cent, Andrew Koji, and David Dastmalchian.

Rhodes also appeared at the event, but instead of representing WWE as “The American Nightmare,” he leaned fully into his role from the film. Dressed in his Guile-inspired look, Rhodes delivered a playful promo to the crowd, joking about tournaments, freedom, and military budgets while staying in character. Footage from the moment was captured by Brandon Davis, showing Rhodes fully embracing the role in front of the audience.

“Lot of tough guys out there, huh? What about you, pretty boy? You guys want to be in this tournament. Well, if you believe in yourself and if you believe in freedom, drinking milk, you can all be in this tournament. Military budget is down. I’m thankful for the gig. That’s M. Bison right there, you see the hats he’s worn in this movie? Top notch. First class. Beaver skin, baby. Y’all ready for this trailer? No, I need to hear it, y’all ready to see this trailer?”

The appearance adds to Rhodes’ growing crossover presence outside of WWE. While he remains one of the company’s biggest stars, moments like this show how frequently he’s stepping into entertainment projects beyond wrestling.

Street Fighter is scheduled to hit theaters on October 16, 2026, and Rhodes’ involvement has already drawn attention from both wrestling fans and movie audiences.

With the promotional push now underway, Rhodes’ appearance at the trailer event suggests fans will continue seeing him tied closely to the film as its release date approaches.
