Tom Brady and Logan Paul may be done flipping each other off from the crowd. The next stop could be a WWE ring.
TMZ Sports says WWE has been holding ongoing conversations with the seven-time Super Bowl champion, creating the possibility that Brady could come face-to-face with Paul at an upcoming event.
It is not clear what WWE has pitched, how physical Brady would be willing to get or whether the talks will lead to an actual match. Still, the timing is hard to ignore after Brady and Paul spent the weekend taking their feud to another level.
Brady slapped Paul during Fanatics Fest in New York City after their trash talk boiled over. Security and others quickly stepped in before the situation could go any further.
Two days later, they crossed paths again during the FIFA World Cup final between Argentina and Spain. Michael Rubin shared footage of Brady smiling and flipping Paul off from nearby seats. Paul returned the gesture, but Brady kept it going while the people around them laughed.
There is a business link behind the scenes as well. Brady is a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, while TKO CEO and chairman Ari Emanuel also holds a stake in the team. TKO owns and operates WWE, meaning Brady already has a relationship with one of the company’s most powerful figures.
Nothing has been finalized, but WWE now has a ready-made storyline involving one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time and one of its biggest stars. After the slap, the middle fingers and months of trash talk, the squared circle may be the only place left for Brady and Paul to settle it.
