Chris Masters clearly had plenty to get off his chest after the 2026 midterms, and Donald Trump ended up directly in his crosshairs. The former WWE star celebrated the election results by absolutely unloading on Trump and claiming Americans have finally started seeing through him.
Masters took to his Instagram Story following the November 3 elections and said he was actually relieved by what he saw. Playing off the language commonly associated with QAnon, Masters declared that the real “great awakening” was Americans finally realizing what he believes Trump is really about.
“I don’t know about everyone else, but I am relieved that the country has finally smartened up. The great awakening has happened, but it’s not what QAnon thought. It’s everyone finally realizing that this orange dude is completely full of s**t. He only cares about himself.”
Masters wasn’t finished there. He then went after Trump’s behavior in office, arguing that the name-calling and lack of presidential decorum had damaged the country’s reputation around the world.
“It took us so long to realize all the BS. We had the most unpresidential president — the lack of decorum, name-calling, all of it. That man has put this country in the gutter, and he made us only the second most hated country in the world, only behind Israel.”
Masters’ comments come as several former WWE stars have been sounding off about the midterm results from very different angles. Val Venis recently declared that Republicans “deserved to lose the election,” although his reasoning quickly veered into an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory surrounding the Charlie Kirk murder case.
Mick Foley also reacted positively to the results after previously encouraging Americans to vote Democrat. Unlike Masters’ scorched-earth attack on Trump, Foley struck a much more tame tone afterwards, saying Americans have more in common than what divides them.
Masters clearly wasn’t interested in taking that route. For him, the election results represented something much bigger than one rough night for Republicans — he sees them as evidence that Americans are finally turning against Trump and everything he believes the president has brought with him.
