Jacob Fatu has been gone from WWE television for over a month, but the pieces surrounding his comeback are starting to fall into place. Now there’s another update on what WWE apparently has lined up for the Samoan Werewolf when he finally returns.
According to Fightful Select, Fatu is expected to return and join The Bloodline for the planned WarGames match at Survivor Series. WWE has not officially announced the match yet, but Fatu is expected to be part of it.
“As one would expect, Jacob Fatu is expected to return to join the Bloodline for the Survivor Series: WarGames match that is planned, but not yet announced.”
That would put Fatu right back into the middle of the story that took him off television in the first place. The current plan has Roman Reigns, The Usos, Fatu and Solo Sikoa joining forces against The 946 inside WarGames.
Fightful’s report also backs up recent signs that Fatu’s return was getting close. We had previously reported that his comeback was “not far off” and that he had been filming WWE material alongside other wrestlers expected to compete in the WarGames match.
Fatu has been missing since the September 28 episode of RAW, when WWE found a pretty brutal way to write him off television. After chasing Royce Keys into the parking lot during the chaos between The Bloodline and The 946, Fatu got absolutely flattened by a black sedan.
WrestleVotes previously reported that the hit-and-run angle was essentially WWE’s way of removing Fatu from the Money in the Bank picture before eventually bringing him back. Now it appears WWE already knows exactly where it wants him when that comeback happens.
Fatu certainly won’t need much motivation if he walks back into this story at Survivor Series. The 946 literally had the guy run over, and WarGames would give him a pretty convenient place to collect that debt.
