Brooke Hogan is not staying quiet after people criticized her for posting a beach photo while grieving her father, Hulk Hogan.

Brooke took to Instagram and uploaded several edited beach photos showing herself with different body types, including heavier, thinner, and older versions. The point was clear: she wanted to call out people who accused her of chasing attention simply because she posted a bikini photo at the beach while thinking about her father. Brooke made it clear that the photo was not meant to be a thirst trap, and she said the beach has always been part of who she is.

“Trust me, if I wanted to give you a thirst trap, you would have gotten one. If I were a surfer, a swim instructor, heavier, thinner… would it be less shocking? I grew up in swimsuits. I understand that not a lot of the world gets that. But this is my home. This is me. This is my one of many days I grieved my dad.”

She then blasted the people who tried to turn her grief into something ugly, saying they have no idea what her relationship with her father was really like.

“Shame on anyone for demonizing it. I am a human. My father was human. And you people have the nerve to act like you’re experts on ANY topic or know anything about my experience with him? Even my closest family has no clue what I know and have experienced.”

Brooke also called out trolls hiding behind screens and told them exactly what she thought of their comments.

“And you come at me with your ignorant opinions and nasty comments hiding behind your screens? Go back under your bridge, trolls.”

In the photos themselves, Brooke questioned whether people would have seen her grief as more sincere if she looked different.

“Would my post have been more sincere if THIS girl were at the beach mourning her dad? But this girl is an attention whore?”

She explained that the beach photo was just one quick picture before she found herself searching online about emotional fatigue and then spending time looking through photos of her father.

“I took one photo over my shoulder quickly… and proceeded to google why I’m so emotionally fatigued immediately after… And then I spent an hour looking at and saving pictures of my dad.”

Brooke also reflected on growing up in Florida and how the water was always part of her identity, even recalling the nickname her father gave her: “This is how I grew up… A little Florida girl. ‘A little fish’ as my dad called me.”

She stated she does not owe strangers an explanation about her grief, her relationship with Hogan, or the personal decisions she made for her own well-being.

“I am not obligated to explain to ignorant people who haven’t walked in my shoes—how I lost my dad—before I lost my dad. I can still stand by my decision, knowing I tried till I had nothing left. I can still stand by a choice I had to make for my own safety and sanity… And YOU don’t have to understand it, nor am I obligated to share my reasoning with you.”

Brooke’s response makes it clear she is done letting strangers define how she should grieve. For her, the beach photo was not about attention. It was part of a personal moment tied to her father, her childhood, and the complicated emotions she is still processing.
