The July 20 episode of WWE RAW rolled through Detroit, and that was a fun show. During the first hour of the program, the company a big more on Big Cass’ return.
Big Cass appeared in another segment during RAW this week, and the company gave him a new vignette too. This gave a bit more history for his character in case fans needed a refresher.
The segment focused on how Big Cass fell so far after reaching such a high point in WWE. The vignette focused on his injuries, and then his release. In the end, it appears that he is going to do whatever it takes to bring it for his second WWE run.
Big Cass was released by WWE on June 19, 2018, following a series of backstage issues. At the time, there were reports that he had developed a bad attitude during WWE’s European tour and had ignored creative instructions during a televised segment. Those incidents, combined with concerns about his backstage behavior, ultimately led to his release.
After some time on the indies, Big Cass was brought into AEW as Big Bill. He did a lot with the company, especially under Chris Jericho’s Learning Tree. Now, he is back in WWE and it appears that the company is going to give him a nice spotlight.
The vignette ended this week in the same way that last week’s did. They flashed 8/3 on the screen, which means the day after SummerSlam will likely be the first time fans see Big Cass in this new run. Only time will tell if Enzo Amore is along for the ride, because the company has only confirmed Big Cass’ return so far.
