Baron Corbin has finally broken his silence following his shocking WWE return—and he’s making one thing perfectly clear. Trick Williams may have been his first target, but he won’t be the last.
WWE shared a video on Twitter featuring Corbin’s first comments since he returned on SmackDown and attacked United States Champion Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes. Rather than explain his actions, Corbin declared that WWE has become filled with people pretending to be tougher than they really are—and said he’s back to remind everyone what happens when they stand in his way.
“You know what’s funny? I’ve been watching these shows, seeing all these guys walking around thinking they’re legitimately tough. Thinking they can walk the walk and talk the talk. Well, their reality is about to come crashing down.”
Corbin then made it clear that Trick Williams was simply the first step in what he plans to do next, adding that Carmelo Hayes was just collateral damage.
“I’m the real deal. Trick, you’re the first name on a long list. And Melo, you were just collateral damage, and that’s a message to everyone on this roster: if you get in my way, you get run over.”
The warning didn’t stop there. Turning his attention back to the United States Champion, Corbin told Trick to enjoy his time at the top while he still can because he intends to take everything.
“Now, Trick, I’ll give you some advice. Smile while you can. Enjoy what you have, because I’m Baron Corbin, and I’m coming for it all.”
The comments come just days after Trick responded to Corbin’s surprise return by joking that the former WWE star attacked him because the United States Championship “had more hair than he does.” Trick also insisted WWE has entered a new era led by himself, Oba Femi and Je’Von Evans, arguing that Corbin’s biggest accomplishments are already behind him.
Corbin clearly doesn’t see it that way. Instead of returning to prove he still belongs, he’s returned with the goal of running through the roster—and based on his latest message, he believes Trick Williams is only the first obstacle standing between him and championship gold.
