Aalyah Gutierrez has already reached another milestone in her WWE journey. Just days after officially joining the WWE Performance Center, Rey Mysterio’s daughter made her first appearance at an NXT live event.
Earlier this week, WWE announced Aalyah as part of its newest Performance Center recruit class, officially bringing the latest member of the Mysterio family into the company’s developmental system. While fans knew she had started training, this marks the first time she’s been featured at a WWE event since signing as a talent.
Aalyah shared the moment herself. Taking to her Instagram Story, she posted a photo from the NXT Fort Pierce live event, showing herself standing inside the ring alongside NXT General Manager Robert Stone while a promo was taking place.
Although she wasn’t there to wrestle, the appearance marked her first time being part of an NXT live event as an official WWE talent, another sign that the company is gradually introducing her as she continues training.
The appearance comes after months of reports that Aalyah had quietly begun training at the WWE Performance Center under the Gutierrez name. Rey Mysterio has also praised his daughter’s progress, previously saying she’s picked up wrestling quickly despite taking a much different path into the business than her brother, Dominik.
There’s still no word on when Aalyah will make her in-ring debut, or whether WWE plans to keep using the Gutierrez name or eventually present her as a Mysterio on television. For now, though, she’s officially taken another step forward. Her first NXT live event appearance may have been brief, but it’s another sign that WWE is slowly bringing the newest member of the Mysterio family into the dance.
