Despite the significant setback experienced by The Young Bucks at AEW Revolution last week, recent developments suggest a notable change in the dynamics within the All Elite Wrestling landscape. The introduction of Kazuchika Okada, aligning with The Elite, introduces a fresh element to the unfolding story. Furthermore, details have emerged regarding the person behind the idea of bringing Okada into the fold with The Young Bucks.

During this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson fulfilled their commitment to a groundbreaking announcement. After reflecting on their recent defeat to Sting and Darby Allin at AEW Revolution, where they said goodbye to The Icon in a losing match, the brothers announced their renewed determination to vie for the AEW tag titles.

In a surprising twist, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson took decisive stance by imposing severe repercussions on their Elite faction colleagues, Adam Page and Kenny Omega. Tensions escalated when AEW Triple Crown champion Eddie Kingston confronted the AEW Executive Vice Presidents, leading to an intense brawl.

Adding to the dramatic sequence, the highly anticipated AEW debut of former NJPW star Kazuchika Okada took place. Initially appearing to come to Eddie Kingston’s aid, Okada stunned everyone by executing a Rainmaker on Kingston and expressing allegiance to The Bucks.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the concept for the trio of Tony Khan, Kazuchika Okada, and The Young Bucks had been in the works for several months.

Meltzer mentioned that Khan, Okada, Matthew, and Nicholas were aware of these plans for an extended period, revealing that the segment featuring The Young Bucks and Okada was Tony Khan’s idea and had been in the works since the show following Revolution.

“The Young Bucks segment with Okada, that has been known by the Young Bucks and Okada and Tony Khan for literally months.

“Or, I mean, it was Tony Khan’s idea to do this, a long time ago, the show after Revolution.”

Kazuchika Okada has been added to the AEW roster already. The upcoming weeks will reveal how AEW plans to book Kazuchika Okada, leaving fans eager to see what Tony Khan’s company can achieve with The Rainmaker in various capacities.
