Kazuchika Okada bid farewell to NJPW earlier this year, and all signs pointed towards him going to AEW. That is exactly what happened on Dynamite this week and following his debut, Okada has now been officially added to the roster.

During the March 6th edition of AEW Dynamite, Kazuchika Okada officially stepped into AEW, intervening in the in-ring clash involving AEW Triple Crown champion Eddie Kingston and the Executive Vice Presidents of the company, The Young Bucks.

Despite initial expectations that Okada was there to aid Kingston, he surprised everyone by betraying the Triple Crown champion and aligning himself with Nicholas and Matthew Jackson as the latest additions to The Elite faction.

Following his electrifying AEW Dynamite debut, the company wasted no time in making his status in AEW concrete as he has now been officially added to the roster on their website.

Shinsuke Nakamura also had an interesting reaction to Okada’s debut in AEW. It remains to be seen how the NJPW legend will fare in AEW in the coming weeks, as it is likely the company will be built around him and other key players.
