Despite adopting the moniker of ‘The People’s Champ,’ The Rock is perceived differently, especially after Cody Rhodes seemingly handed him his spot at WrestleMania 40. The Cody Rhodes movement is going strong, so it’s no surprise that fans have flooded The Rock’s social media ahead of the WrestleMania 40 kickoff event.

During the recent Friday Night SmackDown, The Rock confronted Roman Reigns, shockingly ending the show. Cody Rhodes introduced The Great One, relinquishing his WrestleMania 40 title shot and causing outrage among fans.

This led to fans rallying for The Rock to give Cody Rhodes his WrestleMania 40 spot back as well. Fans became even more passionate, as the ‘We Want Cody’ movement took a life of its own.

The Rock took to his Instagram and uploaded a video, showing off his journey last week on SmackDown, as he hyped the WrestleMania 40 kickoff event. However, The Rock’s post ended up getting flooded with ‘We Want Cody’ comments and other fans telling him to get away from WrestleMania 40.
