The Rock Makes Surprise Return During WWE SmackDown

A couple of weeks ago, The Rock made his return back to WWE to confront Jinder Mahal. After a back-and-forth promo between the two men, The Rock laid out Jinder in the ring.

Following this, he then got on the mic and teased a potential match against Roman Reigns in the future. However, he didn’t mention any specifics.

This led many fans to think that the Great One who show up and win the Royal Rumble match which didn’t happen either. Just when all hope is lost for this dream match, it was reported that the Brahma Bull was in Birmingham where SmackDown is held, and is set to make a surprise appearance for the show.

This makes things more interesting because Roman Reigns was also advertised for SmackDown along with Cody Rhodes.

Tonight on WWE SmackDown, Cody Rhodes came face-to-face with Roman Reigns. He said that while Rollins made a convincing case, he still wanted the title that Reigns holds. He said he wants the title but not at WrestleMania.

Just then, The Rock’s music played and he came out to the ring. After The Great One stepped in the ring, he shook hands with Cody who then walked out of the ring. The Rock then had an intense staredown with Reigns to close out the show.

The Rock showing up on SmackDown tonight just made things more interesting. We will have to wait and see how this story unfolds in the lead-up to WrestleMania 40. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we bring you live coverage of SmackDown every week.
