Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s name is renowned far and wide as one of the biggest and most influential stars in the pro wrestling business. Therefore, it’s no surprise that he appeared on SmackDown this week and essentially secured the WrestleMania 40 main event spot. However, he ended up getting a ton of backlash after his appearance on the show.

The conclusion of the recent WWE SmackDown episode sparked division as The Rock confronted Roman Reigns. This happened after Cody Rhodes brought the Hollywood megastar out, seemingly relinquishing his WrestleMania 40 title shot.

Fans are upset with this decision, expressing disappointment that WWE’s top babyface had to play second fiddle to a part-timer. This is despite WWE having good reason for the match taking place at WrestleMania 40.

The Rock took to Twitter and posted his first tweet after his SmackDown appearance, where he backed Themba T L Gorimbo for his UFC welterweight bout. However, The Rock got brutally blasted by fans and many said he should retire. Interestingly enough, he even edited his original tweet after all the negative comments.
