Kazuchika Okada is set to leave the NJPW later this month after several successful years in the promotion. His destination remains uncertain but now it appears one destination may no longer be an option for him.

As reported earlier, Kazuchika Okada is set to become free agent at the end of January. The promotion then officially confirmed that Okada will be parting ways with the company after this month.

It was also reported that WWE has their eye on Kazuchika Okada and there is a chance WWE will end up snatching him up once he becomes a free agent if AEW doesn’t give him a big enough offer.

AEW also made a better first offer to Kazuchika Okada. According to PWinsider, Kazuchika Okada is not scheduled for the WWE Royal Rumble event, and AEW is considered a more likely landing spot for him than WWE.

”AEW is being seen as far more likely landing point for Kazuchika Okada than WWE. There have been very little, if any, discussions between Okada’s side and WWE.

The likely reason for Kazuchika Okada’s NJPW exit was also revealed. Only time will tell whether Kazuchika Okada will actually end up in AEW, as that does seem like the most likely destination for him right now.
