WWE has added numerous top pro wrestling talents to its roster over the years. While Kazuchika Okada has yet to sign with the company, there is clear interest on WWE’s part. This situation could potentially have positive implications for Shinsuke Nakamura as well.

It was previously reported that WWE has renewed their interest in Kazuchika Okada. This was said to be a big driving force behind Shinsuke Nakamura’s latest push in the company.

One person who buzzed us about the renewed interest in Okada said that one of the reasons Nakamura is getting a renewed push is to show Okada that this regime is not going to treat Japanese like the stereotypical children-like role.

Ringside News reached out to our sources within WWE to inquire about interest in bringing in the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. We were told by a tenured member of the team that Kazuchika Okada “has reached out to see if WWE is interested.” That being said, “it’s not like WWE is pursuing and making a big play for Okada.

We were additionally told that, “there was a meeting where a number of names were brought up, his was one of many.” It seems that Kazuchika Okada’s name is coming up in WWE after all.

We will have to see if WWE can ink Kazuchika Okada to a deal. He has always been on their radar, as one of NJPW’s biggest draws. WWE realizes that there is a lot of money to be made with Okada on their roster, and he is obviously interested as well.

Will Ospreay was granted permission from NJPW to pursue a new contract as his deal wraps up with the company. It’s anyone’s guess whether the same is true for Kazuchika Okada, but WWE and the Rainmaker have made contact with each other at this point.

What’s your take on WWE possibly inking Kazuchika Okada to a deal? Let us know what you think about this in the comments section!
