Mace and Mansoor, the two members of Maximum Male Models’ stable, had a lot of potential in the company. Fans wanted to see them booked properly, but that never happened. They would end up getting released and now Mansoor signaled an interest in joining AEW as well.

During the company’s latest slew of releases back in September, Mace and Mansoor were handed their release. This came as a shock for many fans who wanted to see them succeed in WWE.

In a recent interview with Denise Salcedo on Instinct Culture, Mansoor expressed his openness to joining AEW. He mentioned his admiration for the promotion, citing the support it provided to close friends who were no longer with WWE.

The star acknowledged AEW’s role in ensuring the well-being of those affected, including issues related to work visas during the pandemic. Mansoor made it clear he was truly grateful to AEW for creating such opportunities as well.

“[Have you had any conversations with AEW? Is that a place that you are interested in speaking to them?] Sure. I love AEW. Primarily because I have a lot of really close friends who don’t work at WWE anymore and their families are fed and taken care of because of AEW and Tony Khan and their team. So, for that, I will always be eternally grateful, especially, for the people who got let go during the pandemic. I mean, there are people who would’ve been deported. I mean, there are people who would have had to leave America if it were not for the fact they got a work visa. In some cases AEW. In some cases IMPACT.

So, for that reason, I will always be gracious that those options exist and that AEW exists as that sort of alternative because it’s so incredibly important. (…) Yeah, and from what I hear, it’s a great place to work.”

It was officially announced recently that Mace and Mansoor will be appearing for their first post-WWE pro wrestling event, as they will be making their GCW debut at Effy’s Big Gay Brunch on January 27, 2024. They are now simply known as MxM – somewhat minimalistic but effective nonetheless. It remains to be seen whether they will end up in AEW somewhere down the line.
