WWE Releases Tag Team From Their Contracts

WWE decided that September 21st was a good day to release talent. They handed down several cuts already, and they have not stopped yet.

Dana Brooke’s name is the latest to be added to the list. Now we have an entire tag team to add to the list.

PW Insider reports that both Mace and Mansoor were released from their deals. They were previously given male model gimmicks, but Maximum Male Models is no more.

Mace and Mansoor were moved off television when Maxxine Dupri transitioned over into being a member of Alpha Academy. It appears that was the right move for her.

There is a lot to unpack in this situation when you’re talking about today’s releases. Mustafa Ali requested his release in 2021, and people in NXT had no idea he was on his way out. Also, Elias was pitching ideas to WWE creative up until month before his release from the company. Paul Heyman also had Riddick Moss in mind as top WWE main event level Superstar.

Dolph Ziggler was also released today, and he had about a year left in his WWE contract. Shelton Benjamin was also given his pink slip. Hopefully, everyone who lost their jobs today will land on their feet.
