Swerve Strickland’s rise in AEW has been nothing short of remarkable, showcasing his exceptional in-ring abilities and magnetic charisma. As the reigning AEW World Champion, he is poised to elevate his game even further. In fact, a documentary chronicling his AEW Title pursuit is in the works now.

The multi-talented AEW World Champion took two years to reach the top of the mountain and it had been a long and arduous journey. Even then, it was well worth it as Strickland is one of the most beloved stars in AEW and it all happened organically.

In a recent interview with Wrestling with Freddie, Swerve Strickland revealed exciting news about an upcoming documentary detailing his journey to capture the AEW World Championship. He mentioned that a film crew has been documenting his experiences since Worlds End.

A documentary series is coming out of a whole series from me becoming the first African-American AEW World Champion filmed by the Lucas Brothers. [They’re] Great guys. They were there in Dynasty in St. Louis, they’ve been there at Worlds End, they’ve been there at Revolution, they’ve been non-stop since Full Gear. We’re still going, we’ve still got a lot of story to tell.
