Seth Rollins Clarifies Why He Has Disdain For CM Punk

CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023, and Seth Rollins appeared to be enraged. It was later said that Rollins was looking for Punk backstage, but then it was reported that it was all an angle. That said, there is a genuine feeling of animosity for Rollins and now Rollins has disclosed why he has beef with Punk in the first place.

CM Punk’s return at the Survivor Series Premium Live Event sent shockwaves across the world of professional wrestling thanks to its sheer electricity. During his brief appearance at the event, fans noticed that Seth Rollins was visibly furious seeing Punk.

As Punk made his way out of the entranceway, the WWE universe couldn’t believe their eyes. That being said, Seth Rollins had an explosive reaction to Punk’s reappearance. Rollins was visibly irate, flipping the bird at Punk and even exclaiming ‘F*** you.’ 

While speaking with Sports Illustrated Media, Seth Rollins explained why he had that kind of reaction after seeing The Second City Saint. The Visionary claimed that Punk badmouthed him for years and made some harsh remarks that he didn’t take well. He added that Punk talked down about him as well.

“He (CM Punk) said some really bad things about me. Talked down about me for years, and the company (WWE), for years. I’m talking some really bad stuff. Called me a bootlicker and crap like that. You don’t know me. You don’t know what I stand for. I’m a loyal person, and I felt pretty insulted by a lot of the ways he treated me, treated the place I work for, treated friends that I worked with. I don’t need to get into any of the stuff with Colt Cabana if you want to look at that kind of stuff, that’s out there”

WWE also tested CM Punk with the Seth Rollins Survivor Series angle. CM Punk’s first major feud will be with familiar foe. Ringside News exclusively reported what brand CM Punk will be part of as well. We’ll have to wait and see how Punk will be booked in the coming weeks.
