WWE welcomed CM Punk back at Survivor Series and the pro wrestling world was left in shock. The WWE Universe was very happy to see him return, although some backstage are waiting to see how everything pans out in time. Now we know which brand the former AEW World Champion will be on.

CM Punk merchandise has sold like hotcakes since his WWE return. We have to wonder how much merchandise they will pump out on the road to Christmas 2023, but plenty of fans probably put his new t-shirts on their wishlist.

Fans are excited about CM Punk’s return, but a bigger question is how the company will use him. He already has a brand home, as Ringside News was told by a tenured member of the creative team that the Second City Savior is on the RAW brand.

Although a SmackDown appearance isn’t out of the question, as many Superstars have jumped brand lines for an angle, CM Punk will primarily be on WWE RAW. So, fans who want to make sure they catch Punk on WWE programming every week will need to tune in on Monday nights.

AEW fired CM Punk after he had a backstage alteration with Jack Perry at All In London. Punk’s final match in AEW was defending the “Real” World Title against Samoa Joe in Wembley Stadium, match that he won. Tony Khan has since commented to say that he cannot legally comment on Punk returning to WWE.

Now that CM Punk is in WWE, we haven’t heard anything negative about his return. In fact, reports are that there was newfound sense of camaraderie backstage during RAW this week.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
