There have been discussions in WWE’s creative circles about the possibility of former NXT UK Champion Tyler Bate making a move to either Raw or SmackDown, according to the latest information from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Meltzer expressed optimism about Tyler Bate’s future under the leadership of Triple H, saying:

“There has at least been talk of Bate going to the main roster. His size isn’t particularly right for that, but the size thing isn’t as big a deal now with Vince McMahon out of the picture and Paul Levesque being more open-minded as to who can be a top star.”

Tyler Bate made his WWE debut in early 2017, where he made history by winning the United Kingdom Championship Tournament and the WWE (NXT) UK Championship at the young age of 19.

During his tenure in NXT UK, he achieved numerous milestones, becoming the brand’s only triple crown champion by holding the NXT UK Championship, NXT UK Tag Team Championship, and NXT Heritage Cup titles. Bate was also the first and last NXT UK Champion before the titles were unified at NXT Worlds Collide 2022, where Bron Breakker emerged as the undisputed champion by defeating Tyler Bate.

Interestingly, Tyler Bate’s former WWE rival and teammate, Pete Dunne (formerly known as Butch), currently competes on the SmackDown brand. It’s worth noting that their paths crossed in NXT, with Bate and Butch facing off in September and even teaming up in October, with Bate being named an honorary member of the Brawling Brutes. This connection could potentially play a role in Bate’s main roster transition, should it materialize.
