WarGames took center stage as WWE brought the final premium live event of the year at Chicago’s Allstate Arena. While there’s talk about CM Punk’s possible return, we did know that Randy Orton was coming back, but the Second City Savior came back anyway.
CM Punk was fired from WWE years ago, and he spent a long time away from pro wrestling. His last run in AEW resulted in controversy, and his firing from Tony Khan’s company, now he is back in WWE.
WWE was wrapping things up at the end of Survivor Series in Chicago. The babyface team won, thanks to Randy Orton’s return. Then their celebration was cut short, because a familiar song broke out.
CM Punk entered the Allstate Arena, and he announced that “it’s Clobbering Time!” This was a massive moment, and nobody saw it coming. The Chicago fans blasted “CM PUNK” chants in a big way.
The show closed out as CM Punk basked in the glow of the Allstate Arena cheering for him. CM Punk is back in WWE, and as of this writing, that is all we know.
