WWE closed out their 2023 Survivor Series event with one of the most unexpected moments in company history. After months of reporting that there were no talks between the two sides, CM Punk made his return to WWE. This is deal that Triple H said came together very late in the game, and that blockbuster news brought quite a reaction all around.

After the main event of Saturday’s Survivor Series premium live event, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and Randy Orton were able to defeat Damian Priest, Drew McIntyre, JD McDonagh, Finn Balor, and Dominik Mysterio in a WarGames match. Then CM Punk made his big return, shocking the pro wrestling world in the process.

Triple H and CM Punk posed for a classic finger-pointing photo drop. That was noticed by tons of fans, and the image was shared all over the internet wrestling community. Dominik Mysterio saw that post as well, but he had a very different reaction.

Dominik Mysterio has responded to CM Punk and Triple H’s photo by offering his perspective on the former WWE Champion. Dirty Dominik posted a GIF of Mickey Gall defeating Punk in his UFC debut in 2016 in response to that photo. This was a fight Punk lost via first-round submission.

In addition to the animated gif of CM Punk losing in the UFC, Dominik Mysterio also included a simple caption that read: Judgment Day. He also included the scales, an emoji that has become the stable’s logo, for good measure.

It was later reported that several WWE Superstars were upset by CM Punk’s return to WWE. That being said, Seth Rollins’ reaction was all for the storyline. This should be an interesting time with CM Punk back in WWE, and Dominik Mysterio is along for the ride along with everyone else.

CM Punk’s record in UFC was not a winning one, because he lost both of his fights. Punk lost one fight to Mike Jackson and another to Mickey Gall, but he left MMA with a 0-1 record, because Jackson’s win was overturned after he tested positive for marijuana

Ringside News will continue monitoring this story, and so many more in the pro wrestling world. You never know what will break next, because few really expected for us to be talking about CM Punk’s surprise return during the closing moments of Survivor Series in the Allstate Arena.
