CM Punk has lot of time on his hands, so he can pay extra attention to social media if he wants to. You never know where the Second City Savior will pop up next, and now he’s replying to a current WWE Superstar, and one with a ton of momentum right now.

Grayson Waller has captured the WWE Universe’s attention since his debut with the company. The man, who came from Australian Survivor before entering NXT, seemed to have a star quality about him from the get-go. CM Punk apparently notices Grayson Waller’s effect after Waller mentioned the former AEW World Champion.

CM Punk saw a post from Grayson Waller where he was quite boastful. In his usual bravado, Grayson Waller dropped a photo of himself along with a caption that sums up how he sees himself.

Even on commentary, nobody can touch me.

CM Punk saw that post, and he had to give it a reply. Without using any real words, the Second City Savior posted a kissy face emoji, one that may have said a lot more than just one emoji. After all, CM Punk has a regular MMA commentary gig.

This also hit home for Punk, because that line borrowed directly from his legendary pipe bomb promo. It’s unclear if this was the reason why Grayson Waller said that, but Punk remembered what he said.

I’ve grabbed so many of Vincent K. McMahon’s imaginary brass rings that it’s finally dawned on me that they’re just that, they’re completely imaginary. The only thing that’s real is me and the fact that day in and day out, for almost six years, I have proved to everybody in the world that I am the best on this microphone, in that ring, even in commentary! Nobody can touch me!

WWE and CM Punk are not close to working out a new deal. WWE creative haven’t heard anything about that happening. It was said that fan reaction may help grease the wheels for CM Punks’ return to WWE, but there is no way to tell how many “CM PUNK” chants need to happen before WWE considers bringing him back.

If CM Punk ever returns to WWE, it appears he may have a match with Grayson Waller waiting for him.
