CM Punk was fired from AEW, and a boatload of speculation followed that. A ton of pro wrestling fans wondered if he would go back to WWE, or even Impact Wrestling. Despite the constant reports that WWE rejected CM Punk’s interest in a return, that idea hasn’t stopped churning in the rumor mill.

Fans still believe that they are seeing teases for CM Punk on WWE television. That being said, CM Punk was spotted backstage at the recent Impact Wrestling television tapings.

As Ringside News exclusively reported, WWE and CM Punk are not talking. WWE actually rejected CM Punk’s advances when he tried to send feelers out.

During a recent conversation on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked about CM Punk’s possible WWE return. Although he noted that nothing had changed between WWE and Punk, it is likely that WWE would keep any interest a secret until the right moment.

“I was told it’s a ‘no,’ that doesn’t mean forever, it’s wrestling, but I’ve heard nothing new. My gut is that if something happens, maybe they would want to keep it a secret, but I was told it’s a ‘pretty strong no,’ and you know that’s the deal.”

Impact Wrestling faces big problem bringing in CM Punk. As we’ve said before, you never know what the Second City Savior may do next in his career.

Billy Corgan presented very honest, and heartfelt, offer for CM Punk to come into the NWA and have some fun. They won’t be able to pay him what he’s worth, but they can certainly make sure that he has a good time in a pro wrestling ring.

We will have to see what CM Punk does next, but the possibilities are certainly out there for him to wrestle again. Only time will tell what he does, but he may be holding out for WWE to change their mind about bringing him back.
