WWE and UFC’s merger is complete, and that will call for some big changes. Now, we know the first name that has come out in this next expected string of releases within the company.

WWE CEO Nick Khan sent an email out to staff yesterday informing them to work from home today. Firings are expected, and human resources needs to time to conduct those cuts in a private setting.

It was previously reported, that WWE’s main roster and NXT were expected to see cuts. Sadly, this is due to the recent TKO Holdings Group merger, as so many people on top of the company are making a ton of money right now.

PW Insider reports that Jamie Horowitz has been released from WWE. He previously held the role of Executive Vice President of Development and Digital.

PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources that Jamie Horowitz, who held the post of Executive Vice President of Development and Digital, WWE, is no longer with World Wrestling Entertainment as a result of the post-Endeavor acquisition layoffs.

Horowitz had been with the company from June 2021 on, coming over from streaming DAZN, where he was Executive Vice President of Global Content.

He was among those brought into the company by now-WWE President Nick Khan. In that regard, his departure is somewhat surprising.

The new TKO Holdings Group is set to take off with all the steam and momentum they can right out of the gate. WWE and UFC will also be massive when it comes to cashflow. Through this whole merger, Triple H will also keep his position in WWE as Chief Content Officer.

WWE and UFC will keep their media deals separate, but it appears that this new TKO Holdings Group is changing WWE in big ways already. WWE’s first big departure was Frank Riddick, which will shake up WWE internally. Sadly, that isn’t the only departure the company is seeing.

We will keep an eye on this story as more releases are made known. Keep checking back with us here at Ringside News for more, and as always, leave your comments in the space below to let us know how you feel!
