As the dust settles after the momentous merger between WWE and UFC into TKO, significant changes are on the horizon for the professional wrestling giant, WWE. While employee layoffs were already announced, it has come to light that talent cuts are also looming large.

Reports from Nick Hausman of HausOfWrestling.com suggest that “major cuts” are expected to hit both the WWE main roster and the NXT brand. Although it was not explicitly stated that these cuts would happen immediately, the sources have indicated that these moves have been in the works for some time.

Interestingly, one source speculates that while Endeavor may proceed with laying off company employees in the near term, the release of talent may be delayed for a later date.

“We were told by a WWE source that ‘major cuts’ are expected to the WWE main roster and NXT brand. We were not explicitly told that the cuts would be coming tomorrow but were told they have been planned for some time.”
