WWE has a few Superstars on their roster who disappeared for one reason or another. Some, like Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza, showed up in NXT. That is not the story for Elias, because The Drifter is still wandering without any known destination.

Reports have come out about Elias’ contract status. The current idea is that his deal ended at the end of 2022, and it’s unknown what is going on with him.

Elias hasn’t been seen in a very long time, and there isn’t any noise about him either. The only real sound being made regarding his name comes from fans wondering where he is.

Ringside News reached out to inquire about Elias’ current WWE status. We were unable to confirm his contract situation, but we can confirm that he is not being discussed. This applies to Ezekiel as well.

A tenured member of the WWE creative team confirmed to us that they hadn’t heard his name come up. No ideas are being openly pitched for Elias, so there is likely no current plan for his return to television.

As Ringside News exclusively reported, WWE’s creative team is a bit more segmented now than they have been in the past. This was a change that Triple H made when he took the reins as Chief Content Officer. At this point, Elias’ name isn’t being discussed in any of the meetings we’ve heard about.

What’s your take on Elias’ WWE absence? Do you expect to see him back as a 3rd brother character? Sound off in the comments!
