WWE doesn’t have time on their television shows every week for each Superstar, but Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza certainly dropped off the map. Fans were wondering where they went, and now they have reappeared in NXT.
Scrypts and Axiom faced off against Dabba Kato this week on NXT in a handicap match. In a surprise from the norm, Dabba Kato lost that match, but the winner’s celebration wasn’t long.
Suddenly, Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza jumped in the wing. The former Los Lotharios have dropped those Latin lover gimmicks, and now they are mean heels.
The commentary team was very surprised to see Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza in NXT. The two Superstars also received a “welcome back” chant from the crowd.
Only time will tell how this turns out for Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza in NXT. Neither of them were even in the 2023 WWE Draft pool, so this could be a fresh start for them as NXT Superstars.
Nathan Frazer also won the Heritage Cup this week on NXT. This was big week on NXT, because they also announced their upcoming two-week Gold Rush special. Only time will tell if the Heritage Cup is defended there.
