WWE has a lot of contract situations going on at the same time, and it’s difficult to keep track of everything at the same time. Now, it seems that Elias’ deal with the company has a special spotlight.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Elias’ contract was rumored to be up at the end of last year. After asking about an update on him, they have come up empty.

Fightful asked WWE if Elias has signed a new deal, as many reports had his expiring in late 2022, but we haven’t heard back.

We will have to see what happens in this situation. Elias was once known as The Drifter in NXT, and then he made his way to the main roster as the character we know today.

Elias might have taken a little side-trip as Ezekiel, but Elias returned with his old gimmick for a short run before he vanished again. This is certainly an interesting situation, because Triple H taking power over WWE put an end to Elias’ twin brother, only to see his own eventual disappearance.

Only time will tell where Elias turns up next, but it seems his WWE contract status is up in the air at this time.
